The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team had an action-packed week with three games on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. All three games were at home against Lawrence Tech, Indiana Tech, and University of Northwestern Ohio.
In their first game of the week against Lawrence Tech on Wednesday, the Wolverines got the clean sweep, winning all three sets. They were trailing 11-7 in the beginning of the game, but were then able to go into attack mode to get five straight points to take the lead 12-11 before winning 25-20. Sydney Eggleton helped UM-Dearborn catch the lead with six kills.
The team was able to win the next set 25-17 after coming back from a 15-9 LTU lead. Regan Sliwinski had a great serve in the set to change the tone of the game and Regan Rose came in clutch with a great ace.
In the last set, the lead score of the game was exchanged six times between the teams, but ultimately the Wolverines won it 27-25 for the clean 3-0 sweep.

The Wolverines next had to suit up on Friday against undefeated Indiana Tech. They ultimately fell short in this match losing 3-2, but they put up a good fight throughout the five sets.
In the first set, UM-Dearborn hit the ground running with a 12-3 lead over the Warriors in the first set. They ended up winning the first set 25-15 and also won the second set 25-19. They did not give up the lead or allow a tie in either of the first sets.
Trouble came in the third set, however, as there were 11 ties along with three lead changes throughout the set. Towards the end, Indiana Tech took a 24-22 lead and never relinquished it, winning 26-24.
UM-Dearborn showed hope in the fourth set as they took the lead 9-4, but Indiana Tech did not back down, causing eight ties and five lead changes. The set was tied at 23-23, but Indiana Tech was able to score the last two points to take that set as well. This tied the match 2-2 leading into the tiebreaker set.
Indiana Tech finished their impressive comeback by taking the fifth and final set with a score of 15-11, sweeping the Wolverines in the last three sets.
