On Tuesday, UM-Dearborn’s Student Activity Board (SAB) hosted a Valentine’s Bash on the University Center stage to celebrate love, friendship, and happiness on campus.
Students were able to pick up flowers of their choice for their loved ones from the booth on the stage. Students also indulged in crafts using various art supplies to design hand-made cards.
While many attended to socialize with peers and participate in campus activities, some sweet tooths simply dropped by for the dessert spread which included pastries, eclairs, cakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, and several other sugary treats.
However, many attendees’ highlight of the bash was a round of “Valentine’s Bingo.” The game required participants to walk around and find peers who could sign off a box of their Valentine’s Day-themed bingo card until they filled an entire row.
The bingo card featured requirements to find someone who “loves Valentine’s Day,” “has written a love letter,” “buys chocolate for 50% off on February 15,” and other quirky conditions.
At the end of the event, the winners of Valentine’s Bingo received a prize from SAB - a teddy bear charm with a bear hug card.
