On February 12th, 2024, the Wolverine Collective mentorship community and the newly established organization, Taylor Swift Society, collaborated and held a Friendship Bracelet Making event, in honor of the long tradition of the fandom of exchanging beaded bracelets at concerts. Zac Redfield, the president of the society, started the club last semester for the iconic singer herself, Taylor Swift. The group quickly grew from a few people to now over 50 members. This was their first official big event organized, and the outcome was incredible.Â
From earrings to necklaces, anything could have been made with the massive amount of supplies provided to the students. Taylor Swift-themed decorations were used to focus on the event's goal, which was to bring more people together in the group. Through this, the Mentor Collective E-Board aimed at making more people aware of the different connections available to UM-Dearborn students.
In the spirit of friendship and collaboration, this event's success speaks volumes about the dedication and passion of the organizers and participants alike. Moving forward, it serves as a testament to the enduring bonds forged within the fan community and the positive impact they can have on campus life.
